Question Is AGESA 1.0.04 or 1.0.0.4AB coming to pre-X570 mobos at all?

Asus sure seems to be taking their time with the B450-F ROG STRIX Gaming ATX board. Then again, I'm glad that they're actually testing them, I guess.

Patiently waiting, for 1.0.0.4-series AGESA, with all of it's myriad promised fixes for Ryzen 3000-series CPUs.

(Have some USB 3.x issues with disconnects, currently, with newest BIOS 2901.)

Good question. My X470 Taichi doesn't have anything newer than 1.0.0.3AB available for it.

I don't think its a very high priority item on their to-do list. It'll probably show up eventually.

Meanwhile 1.0.0.3ABBA works great on my B450-E. So I'm good with waiting.

I'm sure this update will be released. How soon? No idea.

Some manufactures like Asrock have already released beta BIOS'es for their older motherboards with AGESA 1.0.0.4B.

Second that, although there is nothing wrong with the 1.0.0.3AB at my side I wouldn't say no to a slightly better boost behaviour and other tweaks. I went for the Taichi since it's a quality board and I didn't need PCI 4.0 (read: a chipset fan).

This seems as good a place to ask as any - I've got a fairly slow (15-20 second) POST with an X570 Asus board. Tons of searching around seems that this is common. I did all the things like stock settings, a variety of changed settings, no USB or SATA plugged in, RAM timings, etc. Not looking for troubleshooting help specifically, I would make a thread for that, just wondering if this seems to be a thing that other people are looking for in an updated BIOS as well? Or is it just me?

From what I've seen, unless you have a 3950x, you want to stick with 1.0.0.3ABBA anyway.

Gigabyte B450 and X470 already have UEFI with AGESA ComboPi 1.0.0.4B :D

Well, just checked, no ComboPI 1.0.0.4 variant yet for my Asus B450-F ROG STRIX Gaming ATX board. Still on 2901, which was a bug-fixed 1.0.0.3ABBA, I guess. (It doesn't specify the AGESA present in it, but mentions bugfixes, and the immediate prior BIOS has 1.0.0.3ABBA AGESA.)

Just checked today. New BIOS (3004) with AGESA 1.0.0.4 Patch B for my B450-E.

Nice little new years present from ASUS.

Wow, nice, 1.0.0.4B AGESA version, BIOS/UEFI 3003, for Asus B450-F ROG STRIX Gaming ATX is available now!

Edit: I had a hard mouse freeze, and my typing was coming out kind of stuttery. Well, it still is. Not sure what's going on here.

Edit: BTW, I've been getting hard-freeze / screen-disappearing (loss of monitor signal) appox. once a month now, or more. I noticed that in the board's specs, it's only specced out to 3466 DDR4, and not 3600, even thought the Ryzen 3000 CPU can handle it. So possibly, that's one of my issues. Although, I can run DC or mining for an extended (days to weeks) period of time, seemingly without error. Also running a RAID-0 of Intel 660p NVMe SSDs, hopefully there's no issue there.

Well, well. Now 1.0.0.4 Patch B is available for A320-class boards. Just updated my ASUS A320M-K.

Wonder if they'll get 4000-series support eventually?
