The universe is a big place and some names are bound to sound familiar or spelled the same. I would think coming up with cool sounding unique alien names would be hard. I would just pull the Spock thing where my character would say "Your puny human mind isnt evolved enough to pronounce my true name, so just call me Ben." Or pull a Man of Steele...that isnt an "S", its a symbol for hope!

According to my last game of Civ 5, Montezuma was a Muslim. And Alexander the Great was Catholic. And Wu Zetian was Jewish.
