It's especially bad here in the Silicon Valley. Land of SUV's and ultra-compact parking spaces.

They need that space for wheelchairs and such, farging morons.

I hate handicapped parking spots. Who in the world came up with the idiotic idea to put so damn many of them in parking lots? We've got a parking lor in front of the student union here. It probably holds about 1000 cars, and it will be totally full every weekeday morning by 8:30AM. Except for the 35 or so handicapped spots in front, all but two or three of those are always empty. They couldn't have built the lot with just 5 handicapped spots?

My Dad has MS so it really pisses me right off when people park in disabled spots, I told his guy he had to move once...he said no, so I said fine and leant up against a post staring at his car....he moved...I bet he thought I was gonna do something....

But I gotta say 35 disabled spaces is a bit mad....can't they see they only need like 5 and change the rest into normal spots, I mean 30 disabled spaces must equal about 45 normal spaces!

I'm actually a pretty good parker :).

Always between the lines, and I usually do it in reverse, too.

I think the weight of the car is inversely proportionate to the size of the ass (physically anyway). How many huge fat people...esp fat ladies...do you see driving around in Ford Fiestas, Geo Metros, and other roller skate type cars? They ride down the road on two wheels almost. But hey, most of them seem to park pretty well at least....esp at the grocery store and the ice cream shops.

The amount of spots is regulated by "normal" spots. Trust me, if you were in a wheelchair you would want a spot up front.

The real problem is the asshats that talk their doctors into getting them a spot because they ask them. They should be reserved for oxygen dependent people (and that even offends me, smokers with diseases) and severe handicaps.
