Is Accenture a good employer?

i've heard good things about them... my friends are engineering graduates who work as technical consultants. they like their jobs. i'm hopin i get a job there in the fall =P

Yea, it is, digitalsm.

Accenture sucks. No big consulting companies ever do any real work or complete projects on time.
 
I 'heard' their reputation is good. They are a big multi national company so if you want to travel they can hook you up.

They pay well but they also work you hard (knee pads out please 😛).

I have a friend he is a consultant at Accenture and he likes his job. He Flies to and from Ireland every week. They pay that so thats cool. Another guy I know is a programmer he likes his job but they work him hard for his money.

Yes, this is a repost - you will get answers from an archived thread... but in general, they do work you hard... long hours... and as a consultant, you will be doing some traveling. The guy who sold me this house worked for them... he said he was hardly home... not even enough to know how most of the stuff around the house worked... his wife knew more than him... which is pretty sad considering he's the one paying the bills...

Maybe these days, you should take what you can get though...
 
Never worked for 'em, but they suck as a consulting company. Two separate companies I worked for used them and they sucked both times.
 
from what i have seen they do suck company wise for finishing projects but on the other hand u get paid big bucks to travel all over the place and they work u like whores. If your single and dont mind not settling and like to work like a mule this is the place for you.

They used to be Aurther Andersen.
They suck ass as a consulting company.

my roommate works for them. he is gone before i wake up in the morning (~7) and usually comes home around 9pm. i dont hear him complain though.
