Is a Z170 or an H170 a nice mobo for an i7-6700?

6th generation i7 CPUs use the 1151 socket and I'm reading good stuff about Z170 and H170 chipsets.

Normally, I just choose a nice brand (Asus is my favorite) and go for a cheap motherboard on that brand. But in a question I did a couple of weeks ago, I was told that good motherboards have better VRMs and power phases, so I should invest at least 130$ for one.

So I'm considering the Asus H170-Pro (90MB0NC0-M0EAY0) which costs 160$ at Amazon, or the Asus Z170-P (90MB0NR0-M0EAY0) which costs 129$ (that's paradoxical, a higher-end chipset costs less?).

The Z170 allows for overclocking, which I don't plan to do. Also, I'll be using a single VGA, which I'll be buying later on. For a while I'll be using the iGPU.

My question is: Are these two motherboards of good enough quality? Can I expect not to hinder the i7 and work solidly for 5-7 years?

Asus H170-Pro $129 here:

The Asus H170-Pro has support for DDR4, has better "SFX" audio (which is actually Realtek ALC1150 audio), and Intel LAN.
The Asus Z170-P

only supports DDR3, Realtek ALC887 audio, and Realtek LAN.
The Asus H170-Pro seems the better quality board.
However, I'd recommend using Newegg's motherboard comparison and product filter feature, including looking at Gigabyte, MSI & Asrock boards, in addition to Asus. Then you can narrow down the results to those boards with Realtek ALC1150 audio, Intel LAN, and DDR4 support. Newegg can further sort by price.
This Asrock H170 Performance board looks like a good featured ATX board, for the lowest cost:

Or: mATX board (ASRock Z170M Extreme4):

I'll be buying from my local brick and mortar stores, so my choices are limited. And then when I want just the stores that have good RMA, my choices are further limited. The two motherboards I listed are two of the cheapest H170 motherboards I can find.

And... Wow... Not checking that Z170 doesn't take DDR4 RAM was a big overlook on my part!

I think that this Asus H170-Pro motherboard is a good choice!

Thank you!
