Is a TaiSol CGK742092 sufficient for a non-overclocked 1.4GHz Athlon?

Do you find that fan on that thing a little whiney? I just bought one, and the noise the fan makes was bothering the hell out of me, so I replaced it with a Y.S Tech from my FOP32. I think the Y.S. tech is a bit louder overall, but the sounds is deeper so it doesn't bother me as much.

Oh, and that Taisol will be fine on the 1.4. I have mine on a 1.4@1.52 with 1.85 volts, and it works fine.

It should be OK for the 1.4. And I didn't find the fan on mine whiney.

Damn, I must be a fan wimp then. It doesn't bother me when I am doing other things, but the minute I need it quite in my room to do homeowork on the computer, it drives me nuts. It has this high pitched noise to it.

Also, am I the only one that found the clip on this sink a real pain to use? It hold the sink on great, but it was a bear to put on in my rather tight case. Everytime I thought I had it clipped, it would pop off. Plus, it took a ton of pressure to get it to finally clip down, which I think chip the edges of the slug on my CPU.

hi!
i'm using the same heatsink -see my signature- , about 45°C at full load, so i guess you should be okay.
