I mean ALL the star trek ng episodes in one collection? Or do I have to purchase each season seperately?

Some retailer may sell them as a unit, but I don't think there's one SKU that includes all 7.

It would be one expensive set.

Go to amazon.ca, they're cheaper there.

Because they know that the people who are likely to buy them (geeks) would be willing to spend that much. Look at the people on AT that go blow $10,000 on a TV or $5000 on a computer. $700 is nothing to them, and the studio knows it.

I really doubt that anyone who was willing to shell out the cash for them is going to part with them easily...

In reality though $100 for a 7 disc set isn't that bad. $90 on amazon.ca.

Yeah but that's Region 2 only and they only made about 1000 of those.

not sure.. but the good thing is it's a collector's edition, only 1000 made. I'm hoping I can hawk it on eBay for a profit, then use that profit and by the US version.
 
The Borg Megacube is kinda cool but I've had all 7 seven seaons since last year and it's not worth the hassle of selling those off and having to deal with Region 2 discs IMO.
 
I can't believe you went to that much trouble when you could have gotten Region 1 NTSC discs for $90 a season from amazon.ca.

I doubt Region 2/PAL discs are going to sell well to US/Canadian customers.

Not to burst your bubble, but these aren't going to be worth anything more than you paid for unless you keep it at least a few years, new and intact. Paramount puts out limited edition collector dvd sets all the time, and they generally aren't worth any more than the regular editions. In this case especially so, since there are no new video footage in the set.

I'm going to watch this auction and see if he gets any bites. Otherwise I'll probably cancel it. I got too excited I guess, I was just seeing if amazon.uk.co would actually ship to me. I never knew they would. I don't mind the region 2 PAL because I think they'll play in my Apex 600A.
