My fan has been making a ringing noise. It is pretty constant but it is not really that loud. Should i get my fan replaced or should it go away after it gets dusty again?

Well, the way I did it was to unscrew the fan from the heatsink, and squirt a little WD40 on the underside. A very little, since too much might screw up the motor. I the let it run for a few minutes to make sure I didn't screw anything up with the oil. The fan I did this on was on a CPU heatsink, FYI.

First, make sure that the fan is sitting tight, a lot of times the noise comes from resonating other parts.

I don?t know about WD40, but RS sells a small oilier for such purposes. Part 64-2301

I don't know about using WD-40, maybe a little grease (try old motor oil) would probably work better, because it's more viscous. First make sure that the fan is screwed in tight, maybe it's just rattling against the case. If you're sure it's not lubricated, peel off the sticker on the front of the fan and squirt/pour a little on the bearing, and let it run.
