Is a plasma keeping my apartment hot?

Just moved into a small (700 sq ft) apt. On move in day I guess they left the AC on all night since it was ice cold.

Now moved in however, I feel like the AC isn't doing anything. I have a 2013 model Panasonic 50" plasma that is obviously radiating a lot of heat. Would a 50" LED make a big difference? Is the difference enough to cause my room to stay hot?

Its not like LED's generate 0 heat, but I wonder what the difference is in a real world scenario.

Granted, its been SUPER hot the past few days, 95+ and the AC is off all day while we are at work. I wonder if it just takes a long time to cool a room down, plasma tv or not.

Hmm.. I wonder about this sometimes. I'm betting that between my ST50, PS3 and PC all in the living room, ambient temperatures are a few degrees above normal. AC does make a difference in temperatures for me though. I just went from a 2BD 1100sqft apartment to a 1BD 740sqft apartment.

I doubt it's the TV since it's not like you leave it on all day while you're at work. It could be that the air conditioner just barely meets the requirements for cooling off your space and as such takes a while to cool it down. If that's the case then you have 2 options as I see it:

1) Replace the A/C unit (or have the landlord) with a larger capacity unit
2) Leave the AC on even while at work but set it so that the compressor only kicks on when it's around 80 degrees.
