Is a Nvidia Vanta-8 compatible on a K6-x system?

I'm trying to install an Aztech Nvidia Vanta-8 on a Asus P5A-B and K6-3 400 (non overclocked..yet) with Det 3 drivers. I just get a black screen before windows. It works under PCI VGA drivers. Is there something I'm missing?
