I know this, if you're over 12 and you wear a costume I find you offensive.

Aren't costumes supposed to be offensive? Isn't Halloween the one time of the year where we're are allowed, nay, encouraged to cross those lines?

That's the stupidest question I've heard all day. Of course I wasn't at work today so don't worry about that too much. :p

I guess it depends where you wear it and who you wear it around. If you have to ask that question though, you might as well scrap the idea.

The hobo idea also wouldn't be that great of a costume...

I remember someone posting on here where they or someone they knew went dressed as a Mexican street vendor with a bag of oranges and a sign that said "naranjas".

Some indian guy at my high school dressed up as a Mexican selling oranges. He wore a brown leather jacket (looked like a cowboy jacket cuz it had frilly stuff hanging of the front of it) and a sombrero. Oh yeah he also brough a bag of oranges with the word "NARANJAS" on it.

Wow......I'm changing my costume idea now.

I think you spend too much time on ATOT... remembering an 8-year-old non-epic thread?
It stuck out in my mind because of that post.

:)

I remember other non-epic threads... for example, the one where a poster's mom thought he was gay because she found out he bought some "male-to-male" adapter.

hmm... actually, I think I remember that one too. Although I might have read it in AT-Wiki or something, indirectly.

Hobo was considered a lifestyle 50 years ago, different from being homeless in that the hobo often preferred it (or at least that was what they told everyone), sorta like gypsies.

I was partying in downtown Boulder a few years ago when I saw a young college student dressed up as a hobo with a stick and bandanna. He looked really stupid and gave off a vibe of no imagination or preparation in his costume.

It wasn't more than a minute later that I saw two homeless people in an alley digging in a dumpster. They were not dressed for Halloween.
