I want to upgrade a computer I have without having to buy a video card. I need system performance upgrade (coming from p3 1000) more than video but my kid play some games on it and I want it to at least play those games if not some others like battle for middle earth and unreal 2004 if possible. Any good suggestions on an amd based cpu chipset with decent graphics thats cheap. $50 is in my budget.

Hmmm, i'd suggest staying away from an ECS 'open box' motherboard.

This Gigabyte for $46 is a great choice. I've built many AMD systems with it and very stable and has onboard Geforce 6100 graphics.

Just pair it up with a cheap 3800+ or 4000+ X2 processor and you're good to go.

I agree, stay away from ECS "open boxes". I try to stay away from ECS in general but sometimes their essentially free mobo's convince me to use them. I do trust Gigabyte more than ECS as well.
