Is a Geforce 2 GTS more powerful than an ATI Radeon VE?

Edit - to give some idea - the Radeon VE is about £80 here and the GF2 GTS is about £140...

In terms of pure gaming performance the GF2 GTS will easily blow away the Radeon VE.

Radeon VE is the worst performing Radeon out there, so GTS is better. You need at least a Radeon DDR 64 to be competitive with a Geforce2 GTS.

How is dvd playback on the GTS?

DVD playback is the only area where the VE is better than the GTS (quality-wise). For gaming, the GTS just blows it away, Even a GeForce2 MX
is faster than the VE.
