Is a BFG FX5700LE OC overkill on an Athlon XP 1200+?

I am fixing an older computer for a former coworker (I need to remember to stop offering to do repairs for people) and he'd also like to upgrade his video. His previous system never even HAD any 3D hardware and he's been interested in some current games (primarily World of Warcraft).

He doesn't have much money to spend so a complete overhaul is out -- just going to replace the dead mobo (two popped caps, yikes) and add a video card. His goal is $200 total so I was looking at an MSI KT6V-LSR and a video card up to $150. The BFG Tech FX5700LE OC caught my eye but it occurs to me that it might be overkill with such a paltry processor and PC2100.

I'm not exactly sure what the best judge of that would be, and seeing as I'm unfamiliar with the FX (I skipped a couple generations) line I figured I'd see if anyone had any thoughts.

The 5700 is worth $70...But Id say get a Grforce 4 Ti 4200 for $50...Spend more on the mobo and processor....

And the Ti4200 performs on par with a 5700LE if not better....
