I am fixing an older computer for a former coworker (I need to remember to stop offering to do repairs for people) and he'd also like to upgrade his video. His previous system never even HAD any 3D hardware and he's been interested in some current games (primarily World of Warcraft).
He doesn't have much money to spend so a complete overhaul is out -- just going to replace the dead mobo (two popped caps, yikes) and add a video card. His goal is $200 total so I was looking at an MSI KT6V-LSR and a video card up to $150. The BFG Tech FX5700LE OC caught my eye but it occurs to me that it might be overkill with such a paltry processor and PC2100.
I'm not exactly sure what the best judge of that would be, and seeing as I'm unfamiliar with the FX (I skipped a couple generations) line I figured I'd see if anyone had any thoughts.
