Question Is a 800VA / 480w UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) enough for the PS5 ?

Knowing that the PS5 is still pretty sensitive to sudden power drops (whilst turned on or in rest mode) I decided that I should buy a UPS. I found a good bargain for a brand new 800VA / 480w UPS and I was wondering if it is enough so that I can safely turn off the PS5 until the power is on again. I do not want to play games while the power is down nor do I want to connect anything else into the UPS -- it's just for the PS5. The PS5 will NOT be kept in rest mode.
I'm expecting the batteries to last a long time since power loss is very rare here (it happened once, for a few seconds, 8 months ago). Maybe I'm OCD but I'd rather be on the safe side since the PS5 has unfixed issues with sudden power loss (like storage failure). I'm afraid that it will break and the store in my country (Europe) will give my money back since there are no replacements due to lack of PS5 stock.
So what do you guys think? Is 800VA / 480w enough to safely turn off the PS5? Can I go lower than 480? Should I go higher?
 
Toms hardware reports peak power consumption of 225.5w for the ps5. 480w should be fine and you could go lower but that usually drops runtime. I wouldn't go lower than 600va. The less powerful units might use 12v 3-4a batteries instead of 12v 7a.

Most 850va ups should give you ~10 minutes of runtime at 200w, though it depends on the battery used. It can be hard to find runtime information. Most of them use lead acid batteries requiring battery replacement after ~5 years.

I forgot to take into consideration that I also need the TV to be On in order to be able to shutdown the console. So the tv has to go into the ups also. That would be ~80W.
 
The odds of a power event happening while you are playing are low. At 1-2 hours a day out of 24, you are more likely to be somewhere else like work or in bed when power drops. Just get something that can carry you for a few minutes while gaming and then longer while sleeping. I'm sure the idle power is readily available online.

I've not had a single power failure while gaming in many years, but a few handfuls of power outages when away. I have a 1500VA / 900W for my PS5, XB1X, LG Oled and HTPC which has done well.
