Hey
I'm thinking about adding on another HDD but I thought I would check in here first to see if
a 2meg cache HDD is ok for just storing pictures, nothing else just to store my dSLR stuff!!

Actually, I didn't even think that they were still available:)

Regards,
CA

perfect fine for basic storage. but if you do a lot of transferring back and forth, it will be a bit slower

not an issue, not even a lttle, for pictures.

That said, how big is it? how many pictures do you take?

a HD just for pics is a lotta space.

no problems here with it. no need to go like these other users that use SATA 300 to store their stuff on

Both of current drives are 2 MB and I use them for everything so yes, they'll be fine for just pictures.

I should have some Raptors to replace them soon though.

Oh... (Has 86 Gb worth of pics). Maybe I should use DVDs insteadt
Them new dSLR cameras take some nice and big pictars + video. If you are really into photographing, 200Gb is nothing!
