Is a 1955 (i think) US $1 silver certificate worth anything?

I don't think there were any "1955" silver certificates. The series is next to the lower right corner of the portrait. It will be a year and possibly a single letter.

Of course, value depends on condition and rarity. What series is it? Does the serial number have a star at the end?

so unless a 1955 is much rarer than a 1957, it is worth about $2, based on that auction, unless it gets sniped for more

I was debating whether to look through all my books for it. I forgot which one I put it in.
