Is a 19' monitor worth the $ increase? Same for 21'?

I think my 19'er was worth the extra $150(yah, yah, retail). Anyone had a 19' or 21' before and decided not to pay the extra money for your newer computer?

If you have a 15', it's probably not bad if you're used to it and :Q

My 19" Dell UltraScan P991 FD Trinitron was definitely worth the upgrade from a mediocre 17" ViewSonic E771 monitor. My only complaints are 1) It weighs a ton and 2) Uses up A LOT of my desk space.

I'm hoping that in 3 years a good quality 17" LCD Display will be $800 or less.

19 foot monitor? WHOA! :Q

Seriously, if you're going from 15" -> 19/21" you will really notice the difference.

From 17" it's not as big of a change.

I felt the distance from my 17" to my 19". Eventually you'll get used to having a huge screen but its pretty cool at first. Great for watching DivX and playing CS and even doing stuff in Windows. Fancy that.

Look, the monitor is the most important part of the computer system. It's what you look at. Pay the extra and get a big, good, monitor!
