Is $80 too much for car mats ? $60 ?

This place is supposed to have high quality floor mats for cars. They want 80 for a set of 2 front mats. I could get them for $60 possibly, but is that still way too much for car mats ?

Yea, you could get the original set of 4 OEM floor mats that are designed for your car for that price.

These are supposed to be better than OEM, plus I have a 20 year old VW. I dunno if I can get them still from the stealership.

I don't know about where you live.........but up here in upstate NY in the "snow belt" I consider floor mats "annual consumable items". I see them as sacrificial carpet-protectors and replace them after the harsh winter season (they get FULL of crap from the snow & slush on my feet!) I get the ones at Walmart for about $20-$25 or so.

If I wanted a nice look to the interior of my car - I would consider getting a better set for late spring/summer ONLY. Then put the scarificial ones back in for winter!

I ended up going with rubber ones too, but then again I drive a truck so it looks a little more natural than they would in a car. I was going to put in carpet ones, but I got tired of them wearing out and being dirtied up in no time at all. With the rubber ones, all I do is knock the dust of them and maybe hose them down and they're good as new. The only drawback is that when you first get them they STINK horribly.

I got a set of floor mats at Costco 5 years ago for $30.00. They still look great, and are better than any floor mats I have ever owned.

That's way too much. Mercedes dealer was asking me $85 for a set of four, and we all know how overpriced MB accessories can be.

I have something similiar to this for my Saturn. Bought them on sale for $15. I don't use the embroidered Saturn floor mats anymore. When I sell the car, the Saturn mats will go back in, and then it will look pretty. For something practical, just get rubber mats. Carpeted floor mats in cars are dumb.

A good set of heavy rubber mats will last for years. The ones in my car are more then 20 years old and have outlived at least one car. I would get factory carpeted ones now but I don't know where to find them for a 12 year old Honda.

Heavy duty carpet, Thing is, I drive a Dodge Dakota, and I use it like a truck, It gets very dirty, and the floor mats do too. The floor mats have actually made it through 3 trucks, 1 Chevy S10, 1 95 Dakota, and a 99 Dakota. When I trade this one in, I will still be able to use the floor mats.

I do take care of them, they get vacumed each week, along with the truck, shampooed every 3-4 months, and the I use a good brush on them not only to raise the capet again, but also to work in the spray on scotch guard. Yeah, they have faded some, but hey, 3 trucks worth of landscape work and heavy use will cause some wear,

I have nothing but praise for Husky floor liners- Just take them out and hose them off when needed.
They are able to hold mud, sand, spilled drinks etc...
These are great for trucks and SUV's.

Husky Liners go for about 60 bucks for the fronts only. They were definately worth it for me.
Not sure about the ones you have linked though. I prefer the rubber/plastic - all weather type mats.

I got the set of rubber floor mats from costco. They work very well, and much easier to clean than the carpet pads i had in my car before. They're very deep and can catch a spill if that ever happens. Then you just hose off the pad and throw em back in
