Sorry if this is a double post, my Internet connection was acting strange when I tried to post the first time.

I'm in the process of building a new PC. In about a month I should be done. I used the eXtreme Power Supply Calcuator found at the link below to figure up power consumption:

http://www.extreme.outervision.../psucalculatorlite.jsp

When It's complete, this is what I'll have inside pulling power:

EVGA 680i NF68-A1 mobo
Q6600 OC'd to around 2.8 - 3.0GHz
4GB (4 x 1GB) DDR2 800
2 x 7200 SATA HDD's
2 x 120mm LED fans
2 x CCFL tubes
1 x DVD-RW drive
4 x USB devices
Possibly dual 8800GTX or dual 8800GTS 640 vid cards. If not dual I'll definitely have either one GTX or one GTS.

With a 8800GTX SLI setup that calculator calls for at least a 536W PSU. With a 8800GTS 640 SLI setup it calls for a 488W PSU. These estimates are based on a 100% peak system load BTW.

What do you think? I know it would just make sense to get a 750W or greater PSU, but money is tight this time around. If I don't get my PSU this time around then the money will be gone (money seems to evaporate into thin air around my girlfiriend and I), and I'll just be right back at square one next paycheck. I have around 100 bucks for a PSU.

Do you think I'll get by on a 600W or should I not even consider it? I know the major factor here is what card(s) I go with, and right now I'm HEAVILY considering the 8800GTS.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

PS - Any 600W PSU I've considered has Dual +12v rails.

a single 8800gts? then a high quality 500watt will do, 8800gts Sli shouldn't be an option, 8800gtx sli shouldn't be an option, if u want 8800gtx then a high quality 600watt should do, if u want a single 8800ultra then i'd go with the PCPC 750 silencer

if you're sticking with single card configuration it will be fine.

SLI is a different story.
