Is 544 Sq Ft alot?

It depends on how much space you need. Give me a bedroom and a living room with a small kitchen, I'm happy...so long as I have WoW by my side!

I'm sorry. I like WoW buy would rather have a bf...lol.

544 sq ft is rather small...to me anyway...but i have a lot of stuff...it just depends on how much stuff you have, really...and how claustrophobic you are 😛 😉

My girlfriend and I share a ~1000sq ft 2-bedroom apartment. Well, that's what the landlord said, though, it's plenty spacious! I think it's a bit bigger than that.

you go to college? imagine it being like a dorm room...

my dorm room is a single, 180sq ft. I find it to be plenty for the amt of stuff I brought to school with me. Add a small kitchen w/range, oven, and sink...so maybe another 100sqft there. Then a bathroom, call it another 100sqft. That makes ~400sqft there, leaving 100some sqft left for a livingroom-ish thing.

So I'd say I could live in a space like that. It'd probably be a little cramped, but no worse than my dorm.

Just my 2 cents,
-Eric

sounds exactly like my dorm.

It depends on how much stuff you have. If you don't have a lot, then the apt. won't seem as bare as a bigger one. Plus, it helps in that you won't buy as much stuff since you don't have room for it. If you have a lot of stuff or want to start accumulating stuff (e.g. electronics), then you'll run out of room quickly.

Where are you going to live? 544 sq.ft. sounds like an apt near a campus or in a downtown area where prices go up quickly with apt. size.

Hmm, one bedroom, kitchen/dinning room/living room as one room? Too small for me now, but as a student that might fly.

My wife and I lived in a ~500 ft2 apartment for five years. It should be fine for one person, definitely cramped for two. Stick to the "if something new comes in then something old has to go out" system and it can be quite nice to live in smaller spaces.

How much is electricity for a place like that with moderate use? Any guesses or experiences?

Depends on location, if it has central AC/Heat or a wall/window mount unit age of appliances ect ect. Less space means less to heat or cool or clean. If you only have a bed and computer desk and microwave and Forman grill then 550 square is plenty.

id find something thats 630+ at the LEAST.

ive lived in a 590sq ft apt once, and it was horrible.

im in a 650sq ft apt now, with my fiance, and its.... horrible... but its bareable.

for one person, 630+ is a must... id go insane in a 544sq ft place.
