I think it saved candles during the most active time of day (waay back in the day) which was i think 6-5

Yea, I don't like this time of year either. I hate leaving work at 5:30, and it being dark outside. Especially in the area I work.

Daylight Savings Time would work better if we went forward 1 hr DURING THE WINTER, and back to regular time during the summer.

That way the sun would set at ~6-7PM in the winter, and ~7-8PM in the summer, giving us more consistent daylight hours.

The current system makes no sense.
