Is 400W enough for this system??

Im doubting if the 400w PS is enough for this system... They are :

1. MotherBoard - Chaintech nForce 4 Ultra VNF4U

2. CPU - AMD Athlon64 3000+ SOCKET939

3. Memory - Corsair PC-3200 512MB Value

4. Video Card - Geforce 6800 PCI-E

350 would handle that easy, assuming it is a name brand.

As said above, is your psu a name brand?

If you are on a budget, try this SPI one.. FSP350-60PN the OEM version of it..

350W
Highly perforated rear for maximum airflow.
Nice big 120mm fan maximum airflow and low noise.

If you want nice quiet 120mm fans with other brands...you are going to have to pay alot more..

It should be more than nuff for most PC's...

I ran something similar on a 350W, and i think it wasn't enough. over time i believe it wears down the PSU and some of your components will go bad...my motherboard's caps just leaked.

i j ust got a 550W antec to make sure i'll never have a problem again, it's worth it.

That particular SPI model is pretty good....

Alot of ppl use Antec.. but the entry 300w model cost 38 bucks at newegg...

300W is enough?? i am currently using G-tech 320W(for 4 years), if 300W is enough then i have no need to get a new one right????
