Is 320mb enough for 1080p?

At 1920x1080, would I start to be vram limited in games like command and conquer 3 or would I be mainly limited by gpu processing power?

Also, do you have some benchmarks to support this? Thanks!

Depends on the game and how it uses textures, etc.

Just look up benchmarks of fairly common games. Call of Juarez, Bioshock, World in Conflict, etc. etc.

Some games, the 320 totally tanks, but it tanks so bad Nvidia thinks its driver problems with the card (I'm referring I think to maybe Firingsquad benchmarks for Call of Juarez I think).

Consider this -- Crysis demo is supposed to hit the 25th of this month. Wait for the inevitable flood of benchmark results from it, since it's supposed to be the most advanced game in the known universe at the time, and then guesstimate from there!

I keep forgetting to run FRAPS in Bioshock...

In my experience:

I use a 8800GTS 320 on my 37" Westinghouse 1080P and it's entirely playable and enjoyable at the highest settings with VSync on. The thing that will kill the 320MB version is AA - not a factor in Bioshock DX10.

BF2 can stink at 1080P if you only have 2GB of RAM on Vista...

Far Cry is beautiful on high/ultra high settings with 4XAA/16XAF

Keep an eye on the hot deals forum, the 3rd version of it was available as a refurb for less than $600 a week or 2 ago.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Rainbox 6:Vegas runs not so well at 1080P. I had to turn it down to medium settings with no AA to get it to run ok and even then it was slow in some spots.
