Is 300W enough?

I've got an Enlight 300W power supply running the following components:

K7S5A M/B
AMD 2400+ CPU
ATI 9800 Pro
DVD ROM Drive
DVD Burner
Maxtor 30 GB Hard Drive
Seagate 200 GB Hard Drive
SB Live!
NIC
Keyboard
Mouse
Logitech Wingman Force Wheel

You're probably okay with that setup... since it's not a no-name craptacular PSU that you have.

I would upgrade the PSU if you decide to get a more power-hungry video card though (like a GeForce-6 or equivelent)... otherwise, stand pat with what you have now (unless you're the paranoid type).

Is it working?
Yes?
Then it's enough.
That's a HORRIBLE way to determine if your PSU is a good match. The system he listed may well run on a Compaq 150w PSU... that doesn't mean it's a good idea though.

Nonetheless, in THIS SITUATION, a 300w Enlight should do the job okay.

Having read some of his posts, I must say Bobthelost is a fairly original gimmick poster. The ca. 1994 apathy/lethargy attitude is not often seen.
