Is $3000 a good deal for a '92 Towncar?

I don't know much about it. The guy selling it is reputable, and it has about 110K miles. It's used car time, and I'm wondering if I should jump on this.

Edit: I'll be upgrading from a Ford Festiva.

Doesn't sound half bad if it is in good condition. I'd get it checked out by a mechanic first though. We had a lincoln at one time (used) that was an excellent driving car, but the air suspension was a pain. They ride great when they work, but are problematic. Many mechanics don't know how to work on them if something else besides the air shocks/compressor goes bad. We had a nightmare trying to fix them. But as long as it checks out, then I'd say go for it. YOu should be pleased with it.

Well, the biggest downfall will be horrid gas mileage. I'll be driving ~60 miles per day, if not more.

That's a little on the high side for this car at that age, although condition is of course a factor. The Ford Crown Victoria is relative to this car mechanically, and according to a guide I have here the model isn't without troublespots, but not a lemon either.
