It's amazing how almost none of you read what he said.
He gets a discount WHERE HE WORKS.

I read just fine. (Typing is another matter)
What that hopefully means is that these will soon be available. (Assuming he works at some place like Best Buy. If he works for ATI we may never see that card as the first info about it came out in Sept and its still nowhere to be found :disgust: )
I think what most have said in this thread is that any of us would love to buy it at that price.
I know I would.

That's great. I was talking to the numerous people saying "OMG THAT IS CHEAP!!! WHERE?!?!".
YES. That is a smokin' price. The X800 XT was the second (and a VERY CLOSE SECOND) to ATI's flagship X800 XT PE (Platinum Edition) videocard. Is $300 a good price for the new X800 XT All in Wonder??

However, the X800 XT Alll in Wonder's performance is not as fast as that of a "straight" ATI X800 XT card.I'm not sure what it is, maybe its' the additional overhead/sharing of the buses - whatever. As far as performance goes, while not as fast as the "straight" X800 XT it should still spank a 6800GT pretty well. Should lag behind the 6800 Ultra in most games if not all.
That said, your cost of $300.00 is still a smokin' deal! If I were you I would probably buy one - just depends on your budget and whats most important to you. Do you want and will you really use the All in Wonder functions for TV-Out, ect., or will your focus be gaming? If strictly gaming AND you can spend another $100.00 you might consider the Micro Center deal for $400.00 on the Visiontek Xtasy X800 XT (non-PE). If interested see the threads below for details and anotherr smokin' deal but HURRY (ends 1/16/2005).
Not to hijack your thread, but Micro Center has a 20% Off Sale on lots of merchandise, including the Visiontek lineup.
