Is .30 dot pitch on LCD better then .30 on CRT?

I am shopping for a new 15"LCD. I noticed that some are .30 dp on CNET but they still get a good review. Is the LCD still crisp on text compared to a CRT at .30 dp which is not?

what I've noticed was that cells (pixels) tend to be slightly bigger for LCDs versus CRTs... not sure how that factors in..

text on a decent quality LCD can be really crisp especially with Windows Xp Cleartype Fonts....even with .29 dot pitch

0.30dp CRT Monitor....sends shivvers down your spine, we have an early 0.30dp 15" TFT in our despatch room, picture is good (though not as good as my Triniton 0.25dp), I would imagine a more modern one would be better.

Playing games, LCDs aren't as good as CRTs. Otherwise, I prefer them. They are very easy on the eyes, but the refresh on games sucks.

The response time on LCD screens' varies A LOT. If you game a lot in a rapid changing environment such as FPS's, it would be a VERY good idea to try the screen beforehand.

I don't have any problems playing games on my Samsung 15" SXGA+ LCD. IMO FPS games look the best on it. It's some older 2D games where I can notice the poor response time (I don't mind it but I can see it).
