Hello, I'm building some small/cheap computers.

Planning on using P1.6a w/ Asus P4GE-VM mobo's(micro atx) & putting them in a
Aopen H450A case w/ 250w ps.

Will only have a cdrom & 40g hd. & 1 - 80cm fan.

Is the ps sufficient ? The case specs say "P4" ready ..

Thanks for you help

Regards,
Jose

Its not too small... IF the power supply is of reasonable quality. Those little Shuttle boxes (which people have been cramming Raptors, a DVD-RW, and a 9700pro into) only have a 200W PSU.... but it puts out more on the 12V than a lot of cheapo 300W PSUs do.

I'm willing to bet that the Aopen will be fine. Dell frequently uses 250W PSUs in the Dimensions.

Well said. It highly depends on the model and make, as well as the age.

Dell Rackmouts are 230W with a 3.06HT, 2 U320 15K drives to boot.
