may or may not work depending on the quality of the psu.
also depends on what else you've got in your box. :)

you're pushing it.. check out amd's recommendations.

It also depends on other things.. Graphics card, # HDD/CD/DVD/CDRW, PCI devices, fans, internal laser security nets, etc.

Why chance the reboot & BSOD/Lock-ups? The socketA will be around for a while.. go for at least a 350W if not more.

I'm using a Deer 250w on my 750 Duron box, and it's plenty for that (only 1 hard drive and a GeForce2 MX/400 sucking juice) but for any Athlon I'd recommend 300w, or better yet, a quality Enermax 450w+ ...

If I had a 250w PSU I think right now I would get the best I could afford that would last for the near future as well,so Enermax 350w or 430w would be my choice as well .

Btw PSUs are not expensive & I think they are a good investment if you buy a quality one, especially with a power hungry T-bird like yours.

My system had a 250 from the factory... if you read my system profile you will see what I am talking about, but I yanked it and replaced it with a 350Watt... runs beautifully!

PS... by the way, how do you get the link in the signature to go directly to you "rig" profile?

Quality is more important. A good quality one should be ok at 250W for most users. A cheap one can cause a fire, major instability, smoke, etc... An underpowered one just does things like booting you to the windows desktop from an intense game and less serious stuff. I use an Enermax 350W for all I've got... see sys specs. No problems at all.
