Is 2100 DDR 256 MB Micron for $100 a good deal?

not in my opinion. Its just the same SD pipe with more crap crunched in it. At lest it improved on timing. Nothing I would really invest on. And dont get me started on RD cus that just gets worse. PC150, PC166, and PC200 are the real driving force, unless by some farout way they figured out how to make a new type of memory without misleading the public.

ALBundyHere,

SDRAM is the driving force? Not quite, the push by the big memory manufacturers is towards RDRAM and DDR = higher bandwidth = more performance. SDRAM will eventually, not in the near future, but eventually will become part of the legacy category.

Crucial PC2100 is the cheapest thus far

The cheapest and best, there is already a post on this, this is a very good deal and many have already jumped on it. There is a 15% discount available see the post from a day or two ago.
