Is 20K/s less than 3gb/day?

if i were to d/l at a constant 20K/s for a full day would i transfer less than 3 gb?

i want a friends 40 gb CFF collection so im just wondering.

as stated i have a 3gb/day limit.

maybe someone would be willig to host 40 gb that would thusly transfer like 40000000000gb per day.

It also means that it would take you 24 1/4th (roughly) days to dowload all 40GB.

Note that you didn't orignally say you have a 3GB (well, you did..sorta, but it wasn't 100% clear).

The answer to your question is that you wouldn't breach that limit, but it would take an insanely long time for you to get the files.

well my limit is 3gb/24 hours so i would be good.

now just to figure out how the hell it is easiest to transfer this stuff.

Probably by setting up a simple FTP on your friends computer via IIS, assuming he has Win XP Pro or some other able OS.
 
KB/s=20Kb/(8*1024)=2.44KB/s (that's in kilo-bytes, since bits are base 10 and bytes are base 2, which is severely screwed up).

2.44KB/s*(60 secs)*(60min)*(24hours)=206.9 MB/day, give or take, so yes, you would transfer much less than 3 GB/day.

Yeah, wasn't sure. Thought maybe he was on dialup. That's the one thing I love about living on campus. 100 Mb/s connection straight to you house.
