is 2.5ghz really the limit for most clawhammers

system specs are in my sig so ...

i cant for the life of me get past 250mhz fsb.
running a 3200+ CG clawhammer and 1 gig of PC4000 ocz el gold rev 2 on a ASUS k8n-e deluxe.

its pissing me off cuz this ram will run at 275 all day (ran my old 3.0 ES at 3.5ghz 13x multi with a 275mhz fsb, for a 950+mhz overclock)

and asus need to be fvck|ing shot for only allowing this mobo to go to 2.7v on vdimm. thats absolutely re-bloody-tarded. any pc3200 worth anything requires a minimum of 2.7v so that basically throws any decent overclocking out the window.

anyone confirm or deny this stuff im hearing that the claw's hit their limit at 2.5ghz.

mine is watercooled and runns a nice steady 30-34 deg 24/7 even under load.

oh and btw can someone once and for all PLEASE tell me wth the voltage limit is for the 3200+ CG clawhammer ? PLEASE!!! its the mobile chip.

Your lucky to get that, I'm running the ASUS k8n-e as well but with a 3200+ newcastle. And I can't hit 2.50ghz stable, I can get it there, but its not stable even at 1.75v. I think it's my PSU limiting me cuz ive had a lot of probs on the 12+ rail but my new one comes today so *crosses fingers* Congrats tho, 2.5ghz on a clawhammer is really good. And yes I agree, asus needs to do something if possible to raise the memory voltage and a couple of other things.

I wish I could get mine above 2.23 Ghz. I have the same processor(754 socket tho) with an Asus SE-Delux mobo. Max i get: 10x222 or 223. something like that. Anyways, 2.23 GHZ! I wouldn't mind a 2.5ghz and I know this chip can do it. Thinking about moving to another mobo. The instant I take it up past there I lose my HD's. I've been told tho that it's because i'm using SATA(whether it matters if it's in RAID or not, i dunno).

The Asus k8n-e deluxe uses the Silicon solution for Sata 3 and 4, which is why you can't get past 230 on it. It's quite a shame.
