Is 2.0v too much for a celeron 2?

I just got a celeron 566 retail, batch "q039a534" made in malaysia, anyway i can only hit 850 at 2.0v is this too much? Im on a BH6 with an abit slotket and a gorb, if anyone familiar with the bh6 could give me some info on how best to overclock, id appreciate it

Thanx

Stock is like 1.6, right? That is WAY too much. Dont give it over 1.85 or you will be sorry.

Unless it is embalmed in liquid nitrogen, dont ever go over 1.85.

if you dont care that the chip may only last you 3 months then with proper cooling 2.0 is i belive, the maximum voltage that should be supplied to the copermine core. personaly i wouldnt go beyond 1.9 and would be even more comfortable at 1.85, but those chips are damn cheap and getting cheaper so i wouldnt be too worried about it, if it works, its stable and its not smoking it must be ok right?

ps..stock on those is more like 1.5 no?

yeah, i think ill lower it, but could the reason im not hitting 850 easily be because i need to burn it in, and if so whats the best way to?

i thought retail was supposed to overclock easily, but im wondering if the problems with my bh6

yeah, i thought so too, since it really doesnt make much sense, but im willing to try anything here, anyone know how much of a lifespan i can expect?

2 volts is waaaaaaaay too high. Keep it at 1.85 or below. You probably just got a chip that doesn't like to be overclocked that high. Luck of the draw.
