I got this 6 cycl. 4 litre Ranger and I get 16 litres (of gas) per 100 km which is 17.6 miles per imperial gallon (whatever an imperial gallon is... I'm Canadian).

So I figure it's hard on gas or gas just costs too damn much. $20 bucks just got me 16.4 litres of gas thats about 4.4 gallons. $1.219 per litre That's $5.16 USA$ per gallon.

Yeah I make no sense, I'm ranting😡

Yeah, 4x4, not using in summer but some extra weight there, also has a ladder rack on it with a couple ladders. I need trucks for business otherwise I'd get a minivan or a small car.

Yeah sounds pretty normal then unless that is highway miles only. Rangers (and small trucks in general I find) get similar mileage to full size.

That's too bad. I'm looking for reasons to hate the Ranger. I also have a 8 cycl. 1992 Sierra, much bigger and I swear both trucks have the same mileage.

Yes that's average. I think it's rated as 17 city, 19 highway and that's exactly what mileage I get with my Mazda B4000 4 x 4 (same as Ranger).
