Sexual activity (even promiscuity) is 100% better than a daughter pregnant by the one guy she ever slept with.

I would also urge that she use condoms, and supply them to counter the risk of STDs.

Again, this is advice for down the road, when she's 14 or 15. Kids start having sex around that age these days.

You have some good points. It may be unreasonable, but personally, if and when I have a daughter, I'd rather not try to speed up the process of her growing into a sexual being. I wouldn't repress it, but I wouldn't go about encouraging it.

For example, if my daughter came to me asking for birth control at 15, I'd rather have her be comfortable in asking me for it and getting it, then her relying on other methods.
