my athlon 1.1 was i say was running @ 120F on idle or just browsing

do you think that was too hot??

and could it explain why some games were causing the pc to real hard lock - wasnt able to find out temps when it crashed cus it took too long to get into the bios after lol the reset switch wouldnt work so i have to power down wait a few secs for everything to stop spinning and then look ??

I have just installed some HUGE H&F looks like it comes from a f16 fighter lol

and the temps on idle are 39C / 120F a clear 18 degrees cooler with a up down of a couple of degrees??

do you think thats what was wrong ??

If only my computer ran at that. I have an Althon Tbird 1.33 o/c to 1.4 and its constently at 55+ it dips into 60 when i run some real stress stuff. LoL you have nothing to worry about man. I would check out your RAM if its giving you problems.

we just ran red faction till i got bored lol

and temps rose to 113F 45C and didnt crash lol and now the temp is going down as i type

thanks

Depending on the chipset on your motherboard and the bios version you may not see true idle. What is the highest it ever goes?
