Helping someone upgrade a computer and noticed his 300 watt PSU is rated at:

+5 = 30 amps
+12 = 10 amps
+3.3 = 14 amps
+5VSB = 3 amps

It's an Athlon 64 2800+ {newcastle}, MSI board with Integrated Video, one hard drive, one dvd burner, one floppy.

NO VIDEO CARD or FANS will be added.

Yes, your friend will just end up having to buy another PSU with a much better amps on the 12V rail in the near future,

if he decides to keep his 300W PSU for now.

For that PC as long as it's a quality brand 300watt unit you should be ok even w/ only 10A on the 12V rail, but you can't add anything else and expect stability.
