Is 1.35V DDR3 compatable with Z68?

I've got my eye on these 1.35V Corsair Vengeance sticks, but I'm not sure about the 1.35V? Could I run into any issues running these?

The only reason I'm considering picking these up is because the white heat spreaders would go perfect with my black and white (with a little red) color theme.

If you can set the voltage to 1.35V in the BIOS you should be good to go. If the voltage is not settable to that value, then I'd stick with 1.5V RAM.

I'm using those exact sticks of memory on that exact motherboard, the Gene-Z, and have no problems running them at all.

(Excuse the dust.....with moving and all, just haven't had time to really clean it up properly lately.)

Sweet! Did you do any stress testing (HCI Memtest, LinX, Prime95) with those sticks?

I've got an issue with my current sticks (see original post). When I have all four DIMMs loaded (16GB) I get an error running HCI Memtest. If I run the test with just two sticks in A2 and B2 I can go 1000% with no errors.

I may just go with 8GBs of the white.

BTW, I was thinking about adding another EVGA GTX 580 but I'm a little worried about the top card getting enough air. How are your GPU temps at full load?

I like that last quote in your sig. It's so true.

Thanks,

Did some testing when I set it up and no problems....runs like a champ. Since then, pretty much have left it alone except adding a second 6970 to the mix. Are you trying to OC the RAM when all four slots are occupied? I know sometimes boards can be touchy when all slots are occupied and mine are running at their stock rated speeds.....cpu is only OC'd to 4.6GHz, a very mild OC on the 2600k in there.

Check the configurator links at the motherboard's web-site, to see if those RAMs or a kit similar to them are "compatible." Other advice posted here seems reasonable.

I'm using G.SKILLs, spec'd at 1.5V. I and others have discovered that you can run them at that voltage and stock latency settings with a Command Rate of 1 instead of 2. This aspect may be similar in RAMs of different manufacture.
