IRVINE - Need a restaraunt

Down in So-Cal on business and would prefer a local establishment over the chain fare. CPK, PF Changs, and Cheesecake Factory are all blah to me although close.

Gimme a name and type of food.

Gulliver's, across the street from the airport.

Agora isn't bad if you like to eat a lot of meat. I paid about $50 with beverage. (I think it is $35-40 for dinner)

Ten Asian Bistro is nice. There is an ultralounge next door if you are into that.

All these places are within a few blocks of the airport.

Shinsengumi. Pretty good ramen place. I forgot where it is exactly. a friend took me there.

That place is pretty good. Brookhurst and Ellis, about 20 minutes north of the airport.

As we were running late and I was flying out, we ended up at Gullivers.

$30 steak dinner and $7 salad = $130 bill for three. No drinks.

Food was meh, just OK. I had the prime rib which I found a bit on the dry side and their horseradish was very weak. Sides were OK, I'm not a huge corn fan but their creamed cordn was pretty tasty. House salad with shrimp was quite good and different from the normal fare.

Other guy had the filet mighnon with bernaise, said it was just OK.

Other had the rib eye, he was not wowed at all and disliked the creamed spinach.
