There's a story running now that the payment trump made to porn star (after sex to shut her up) was actually technically funds used towards a campaign and a complaint has been filed asking for investigation by election authorities. Will Trump's dirty laundry finally come to air for all to smell?

That will end up being what sinks him. The Russian stuff is created drama, smoke and mirrors. Trumps downfall, if it happens, will be all about money trails, and not covering them well enough.

Wait... What? I don't follow this logic. How stupid would you have to be to pay hush money to a porn start using campaign funds?? I don't believe Trump or Cohen could be that stupid.

Speaking of strange transactions and interactions check this out.

Interesting. Although it's not really surprising that highly experienced professional diplomats are going to try to manipulate and exploit kushner due to his lack of experience, training etc.

Disbursed??

    "seeds dispersed by birds"
    • go or cause to go in different directions or to different destinations.
      "the crowd dispersed"
synonyms: break up, split up, disband, scatter, leave, go their separate ways; More

    • (with reference to gas, smoke, mist, or cloud) thin out or cause to thin out and disappear.
      "the earlier mist had dispersed"
synonyms: dissipate, dissolve, melt away, fade away, clear, lift
      "the fog finally dispersed"
Gentlemen once again we have proof that education needs to be increased in our once great land. Perhaps you should consult Websters before you attack a person as the word disburse is money specific. Perhaps you should enroll in college level English composition and advanced composition to help further your own linguistics.:D

The Trump Clan entering the world of politics at the very highest levels of government and then attempting to exploit their positions of power reminds me of a bunch of ten year olds planning a bank heist after having some success and failures shoplifting at neighborhood stores and jacking little kids of their lunches and other cool stuff at school.

Add to that a generous portion of arrogance combined with exceptionally high levels of pride accentuated with entitlement. I wonder where the clown car will take us this year? This is like an adult version of a drunk Mr Rogers who's license has expired and car is in disrepair yet he's desperately trying to drive to the bar on an icy street in the dark.

Going back to kushner's inexperience...honestly the senior career diplomats he deals with. Probably couldn't believe their luck the first time kushner walked into the room.

I have also been reflecting on the Alexander downer and George papadopoulos incident. It seems odd that he would have just volunteered that the trump campaign had advanced knowledge of the Russian hacking campaign. It made me wonder if downer was playing him for information.

He is currently the Australian high commissioner but before that he was foreign minister for 11 years. An interesting fact is the foreign minister is also responsible for the Australian secret intelligence service. Which is Australia's foreign intelligence service.

So here is this young guy with no diplomatic or foreign affairs experience having a few too many drinks. With a guy who could eat him for breakfast and look what happened.

EDIT: don't worry though trumps breaking the mold.....

Is it hush money or money for services rendered

Puff used both terms in his post. <shrug>
Both are correct just like ensure and insure are interchangeable but I used disburse first speaking specifically of the funds and disperse when speaking in the context of how widespread their use might be. I don't profess to be an English scholar although I had a 4.0 GPA in college but I do have two Merriam-Webster's sitting in front of me and I don't go around attacking posters for their spelling.:D

I am wondering if downer did in fact have prior knowledge of papadopoulos's contact with the Russians. It's plausible when you consider the nature of downer's previous position.

What was a diplomat of downer's stature doing drinking with a man who has been referred to as a coffee boy by other members of trumps campaign staff?

It's not clear where the money came from exactly (it was made through a shell organization but whether the funds came from trump or the campaign is unclear) but regardless it was paid whilst he was running for the purpose of advancing his campaign. Therefore it needed to be reported. And he didnt report it.

Why would he bother? He doesn't need any college level reading or writing to be a dumbass right wing troll. He just needs one word posts and to have rudimentary ability to parrot the people lying to him and laughing at him. He's a very good boy.

So then we can just forget about Putin's mind benders throwing in for Trump? It was the culmination of efforts to sow divisive hate & discontent among us. That is their purpose.

In case you hadn't noticed they executed a tour de force in the art of propaganda. Brilliant. Audacious. Breath taking. Devastating.

Anybody who finds themselves on the same side of the argument needs to take a long hard look at their own headset.

It was all facebook and twitter. I don't use either of those services so I didn't see the "tour de force". I also don't see where Trump connects to it. Did he hire those folks? I don't think that's against the law. Was he having planing sessions with Putin? That's probably actionable, though I can't come up with what the crime would be called right off hand.
The main problem with Trump is he offends our delicate sensibility's. I get that, I agree that he's an ass, but that's not an actionable offence. If the man committed a crime or crimes, he has to be held accountable, but I have yet to see any evidence of a crime committed. That could simply be because the FBI hasn't finished their investigation, or it could be they lost the files and had to start over. That just happened to 5 months worth of text messages between two of the agents involved, they might have had the smoking gun and lost it.

You avoid the point entirely. Forget collusion. Why does Putin back Trump? If you think he's in it for the MAGA you're out of your mind.

So why does Putin back Trump? Do you think Putin has back door access to the most protected man on the planet? Do you think they chat every evening planing the Russian take over of the US? Or do you think Putin has information on Trump that would make him commit treason? What's the end game, what's the result Putin is after? So far all I've heard is nebulous muttering.
You don't commit vast resources to a project without a goal in mind. What would make Putin want to put Trump in the white house, and what would make Trump (the biggest ego on earth) want to be Putin's lap dog? If there is anything to the Russian connection, it will be money, money in Trumps pocket. Great big giant tremendous hulking piles of money. That's what would swing Trump, and it's also easy to follow when you're talking about huge amounts of it.

You're not getting it, at all. It doesn't take collusion for Putin to want to weaken the Presidency and therefore the Country. He discredits Hillary to weaken her if she wins. He promotes Trump on the off chance that we'll decide to poison ourselves, which is what happened. Either way, Russia comes out comparatively stronger, particularly with Trump. Any time the Trump faction spreads more hate & discontent they're right there to help, like with their trolling the #SchumerShutdown hashtag.

He's paying the troll army, anyway, like in Ukraine, the French election, Brexit & other areas as well. They just shift the attack on the West from place to place as the situation dictates.
