Irregular Booting Problems

Hey y'all. I'm trying to reassemble an old system I have here in the house. It's an AMD K6 233 that I used "back in the day". Most of the time I can turn it on and it boots up, finishes the POST and then goes into it's booting sequence. The problem is that sometimes it doesn't get past the POST, sometimes it won't boot from a disk, and I still can't get it to a warm reboot most of time. There are many little things that seem to work, and then they don't.

I'm wondering if this is some sort of power supply issue or maybe something to do with the motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My initial guess would be that it is either of those. Use another power supply that you know works to eliminate that. Otherwise, I would say that the motherboard is the culprit.
