IRQ's..IRQ's ..IRQ's....................why don't they make computers with like 50 of them??????...............anyway it's a great project for next year 🙂) Here's the situation....

This is my IRQ's as they appear in system info. I was trying to get a camera installed and finally did but I am worried about future conflicts, also I haven't a clue what device will share the best with less chance of conflicts than any others. Based on what I have here what would you share or disable to avoid conflicts, the system is running a cdrw also as well as a cd rom. One USB port out of the two I have is open. Thanks in advance

Gee, your IRQ's look very close to mine. Major difference is that your IRQ #9 has 5 items hanging on it, whereas mine only has 1 item, and I think the reason is mine is an external modem and does not use the IRQ resources like a PCI modem. For future planning, I'd consider attaching a hub to that last USB port for scanners, cameras, mice, etc. Hope this helps, at least it's good for a TTT.

If you aren't experiencing problems, then don't stress over it.

Most new hardware is able to share an IRQ with another device.
