My recent issue with the error IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL in xp has continued even after reformatting and installing only 2 programs: a game, and pc-cillin 2002 antivirus. To my dismay, evertime i clicked the multiplayer link in Gamespy Arcaded, windows shut down with this error. But the most frequent occurence of this error occurs when i disable the antivirus processes in taskmanager so i can play multiplayer. So... I concluded that this was my problem; i uninstalled pc-cillin 2002 and problem solved. Its very odd that it has only caused this error in the last couple weeks and not since i got it months ago, especially after reformatting the hard drive. I also doubt that my ram is bad, but im getting new ram anyway when i get more. Has anyone else with pc-cillin been having this problem?
