IRQ questions.

1. When I 'm trying to change the IRQ from the Device Manager-Properties-Resources I get the message "This resource setting cannot be modified".
Is there a way to modify it?
2. I suspect that my Sounblaster Live Player 5.1 is conflicting with my TV tuner. In the MS System Information I get the folowing information :
IRQ 7 Creative SB Live! series
IRQ 7 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
IRQ 10 WinView 601 TV/FM Video Capture Device
IRQ 10 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
So, the two devices don't seem to conflict directly, BUT is there a possibility for a conflict caused by the"ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering"?

Try to modify it via safe mode. I seem to recall that works. Another option is looking into the BIOS and reserving an IRQ that you want to use for something else.

nope, u can't change resource allocation directly

u can however, specify the algorithm which win uses to assign irqs

the sound card and tv card are not conflicting

acpi irq steering is the device that reserves the irq for the device that the algorithm assigned the irq to (does that make sense?)
