hehe, I have 4 components sharing IRQ 11. My intergrated sound card, my Radeon AGp card, my modem, and something called "IRC holder for PCI steering." The only thing I know I can do is to move my modem to another PCI port, but how can I change the IRQ's for my other cards? Thanks.

You may want to try disabling an unneeded device in bios like a serial port, if you haven't already. This solved my radeon/promise 100 controller conflict. Now radeon is happily on irq11 and promise is resting merrily on irq3. :)

well, have you tried going into device manager? find the cards you want to change the irq's on..then go into properties for them..then click on the "resources" tab and it should let you change them there

Hope this doesn't show up twice...

Well it won't let me change the IRQ's for the sound card. I have unchecked the box, but it tells me that the resources can't be changed.

Check the bios and disable the IRq for the USB, disable one of the serial port. In Device Manager disable the Legacy device on the Sound card. Now reboot and see if the IRQ's have been spread out. If not go back to the Bios. Now do a manual configuration of all your cards using the options in the Integrated Peripheral Option. The slot counting starts from the first PCI next to the AGP and the last PCI has the higher number. Check the mobo manual for this info. If the Sound card is in the first PCI (or No.1) then assign IRQ that is supported by the card, same thing goes for the Video Card and the modem. Don't worry too much about the IRQ Steering Holder. This device is actually helpful in sharing IRQ's.
