What should I do.

I get a blue screen saying IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (plus a bunch of numbers)

It usually happens when I leave something downloading. What causes this and how to repair it? it is very annoying.

I'm running WindowsXP, 128MBRam, AMD K6-2 333MHz (hehe), TVcard, USB to PCI card, network card (for DSL), Sound Card, Modem.

I have a feeling the error is caused by the ethernet card and the ADSL but that might be wrong.

I have WinXP build2481 but my system gave me blue screens even before that (although then they seemed different and didn't say Irq not less or equal - just the regular blue screen 🙂) I guess that's just the diff. between Win98 and win2000 (the XP is built on 2000)
 
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL means that drivers for some hardware devices are using conflicting memory addresses. take out all the cards and start from scratch installing them one at a time with the necessary drivers...
 
Or it could be a bad driver... Which may be the case for WindowsXP (since it is not out yet and many companies don't develop, or finish, great drivers until after an OS is released)
 
I consistenlty get this error with compaq computer using W2K. It only occurs when I attach a wireless usb network device (warplink) it does this consistently if I try to print from a network printer or try to tranfer files between computers. I noticed you have a usb modem might be a good place to start.

thank you for that definition. i've been trying to find out what that stop means since i got win2k a year ago!!
 
I had the identical error when I used older WHQL certified detonator drivers.

As soon as I upgraded to newer (albeit beta) drivers, the blue screens went away.

I would begin with changing your drivers first (before pulling anything out). Start with your video drivers.

If the problems persists, then try pulling things out.

Goto www.microsoft.com/technet do a search for stop codes. I believe thats stop code 0XA. They give a bunch of reseons why it might be happending, but in my experiance, sometimes you are just SOL. Try a different NIC, different drivers, or put the NIC in a different PCI slot.
