IRQ Help Win2k Taken over IRQ Setting, I am Running out of options

Hello I have a problem. Win 2k is taking control of the IRQ setting and my pc becomes unstable and reboot when i open an audio program when i am on the net etc. 6 devices share IRQ 9, my video card, sound card, 2 usb host controller, acpi and ehternet card. i've tried everything, I flash the bios from vr 1003 to vr 1007 which was suppost to reserve IRQ 5 for my sound card but did not. Then i assign IRQ to the pci cards in the bios with the plug n play option on and off but win2k as usual takes over, so i rearrange the 2 pci cards to pci slots that does not share IRQ, once more win2k takes over.I need help. Thank You

sounds like you should disable ACPI (basically irq sharing)

read up about it here

the above link tells you that you cannot disable ACPI w/out a re-install..BUT, if you do a search on these forums for "ACPI" you'll come across many threads which let you know how to do it (i did it, and it works fine)
