IRQ error

Having issues with IRQ error on a Dell Inpiron 8500. When I use a docking station i get an IRQ 15 error. It's in conflict with communications port 1 supposedly(COM1). When I am not using a docking station it's fine. Anyone know how to resolve issues with IRQ errors? Thanks!!!
 
Well you can try resetting the ESCD(May also say Configuration Data) in the bios and have windows redetect and assign devices. Also you may want to disable any unused ports in the BIOS while you are at it. That would be a start.
