I have my video card, usb controllers, nic and onboard audio all using IRQ5. This is causing my system to hang up. I tried going to the resources and changing assignments, but the option isn't availble (and I'm signed in as Administrator). I've tried installing these in different orders, and still have the same problem. Any expert advice?
System:
AMD 1 ghz
AIW 32 g video
Iwill KK266 mobo
256 ram
shitty monitor

Thanks for any help you can offer

If your computer is set up as an ACPI machine, Windows won't let you assign the IRQs yourself, and will ignore anything you manually set in the BIOS.

Check the manual to see whether it shows what IRQ lines are shared. Then place the devices in the slots in such a way that they won't be. It may not be possible to prevent the onboard items from sharing something.

Your best bet first off is to make sure nothing is in PCI slot 1, because that will always share an IRQ with an AGP video card. The other devices you mention should work perfectly fine with shared IRQs. My A7N8X has my video card sharing an IRQ with a USB controller and everything works fine.
